As the week has come to an end a new update has risen up from the depths of Oxidane, I have finally created the first ever fish school for my game. When I first created the school I had to manually add fish to the school and then change a lot of values manually for each fish, It worked but to add more fish to the school it was a time drain. So I created what you currently see, I now can control the amount of fish and the area of which the school is distributed. This is the first prototype for school systems and it needs further improvements, but the foundation has been laid out for it to be built up for more features.
In the video below you can see that there are more than 500 fish in that one school, they are distributed within a radius of 700 and the whole school follows the same path.
In the weeks to come, I plan to add more interactivity; as you come closer to the fish close to disperse and later come back to the school once you have gone away.
